That Which Traineth The World is Justice - Upheld By Two Pillars Reward and Punishment

O people of God! That which traineth the world is Justice, for it is upheld by two pillars, reward and punishment. These two pillars are the sources of life to the world.Baha’u’llah, Tablets of Baha’u’llah, p. 27.

In the sacred halls where wisdom lies,
Echoes a call, resonant and wise,
“O people of God!” it starts, a plea,
For a world framed in justice, where hearts are free.

Justice, the compass guiding our way,
The sun that heralds the break of day,
It molds the world with hands unseen,
In the realm of actions, it reigns as queen.

Balanced it stands, unyielding, bright,
Between two pillars of divine light,
Reward and punishment, its foundation,
Directing the course of every nation.

The first, a pillar of radiant glow,
Rewards the seeds of love we sow,
From humble acts, kindness unfurls,
Casting light in life’s winding swirls.

Then stands the second, firm and tall,
A reminder that consequences befall,
The acts unjust, discord that’s sown,
On this pillar, justice has grown.

The dance of the two, a spectacle divine,
Guides us on a path, narrow and fine,
One that wends towards harmony’s song,
Where each note struck, to justice belong.

O people of God, heed this decree,
In justice find strength, let your spirits be free,
Between reward and punishment, find your grace,
And in the mirror of justice, see God’s face.
